Ashley’s leadership is underpinned by his background as a qualified Architectural Designer and his extensive experience across energy, the built environment, and decarbonisation. This enables him to bridge the gap between strategy and delivery, bringing a practical understanding of how energy, buildings, and infrastructure interact in real-world settings..

He works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure energy and Net Zero strategies are aligned with estates planning, investment priorities, and long-term organisational objectives..

Head of Finance

Dave is Head of Finance at Nero Energy, where he leads the company’s financial strategy, governance, and operational infrastructure during a key period of growth. As a member of the Senior Management Team, he works closely with leadership to ensure the business scales sustainably while maintaining strong financial control, compliance, and commercial insight.

With nearly 30 years’ experience in senior finance and operational leadership roles, he brings a broad and practical skill set spanning financial planning, forecasting, project-level P&L management, and strategic decision support. At Nero Energy, responsibility includes oversight of budgeting, cash flow, tax, VAT, payroll, and R&D claims, alongside supporting pricing strategy, financial modelling, and funding initiatives.

A central role is played in commercial and project oversight, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, margin analysis and delivery efficiency across complex energy and infrastructure projects. This also includes strengthening operational systems such as contract administration, billing, time recording and the implementation of scalable business software platforms.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional development, Dave is currently studying towards the CIMA CGMA Professional Qualification. Known for a pragmatic approach and strong personal ethics, he consistently bridges finance, operations, and technology to deliver measurable business value. Outside of work, interests include football, computing, and technology, keeping fit, city breaks, travelling abroad and exploring new food and dining experiences — reflecting a balanced and energetic approach both professionally and personally.

Project Manager

Adam is a Construction Project Manager and MEP specialist delivering decarbonisation and building services projects across the public and private sectors. He manages projects from early definition and technical design through to procurement and construction delivery, with a focus on practical, buildable solutions and smooth handover into operation.

Adam brings strong commercial and contract management capability, supporting cost planning, change control and stakeholder management throughout delivery. He has worked in both client-side consultancy and contracting roles, including acting as Employer’s Agent and Contractor Representative, helping clients deliver projects that are technically robust, commercially sound, and aligned to long-term operational value.

Jasmine is an Energy Consultant at Nero Energy, where she helps clients design and deliver clear, practical decarbonisation journeys aligned with their sustainability ambitions. Her role includes identifying energy-saving opportunities, implementing energy conservation measures, and ensuring compliance with current industry regulations.

She plays a key role in managing decarbonisation pathways, using tools such as digital twin modelling to map, analyse, and guide clients through each stage of their sustainability journey. This work is supported by her ongoing study towards the Energy Institute Level 2: Energy Management Professional qualification, which strengthens her ability to deliver robust, data-driven strategies that reduce energy use, costs, and carbon emissions.

Following a Decarbonisation Discovery Call, he develops an initial understanding of your organisation’s energy landscape, identifies site-specific challenges, and maps out a bespoke Net Zero pathway aligned to your operational, financial, and sustainability objectives.

Holding an MSc in Management and Sustainability, Ted brings a collaborative, solutions-driven approach to every project, building strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and delivery partners to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through to implementation.

With a strong technical grounding in renewable energy and low-carbon technologies, alongside hands-on experience delivering energy audits, feasibility studies, and funding-led decarbonisation projects, Ted is well equipped to confidently kickstart your Net Zero journey.
